Clone Text & Paint

Okay, I think I've finally gotten the hang of the clone tool. At least I feel a little more comfortable.
Text is okay and paint needs some work! I think I need to find another tutorial LOL!

Before with the bright sun spot.

After using the clone tool

I used this photo when I was experimenting with dodge and burn tools.

I had saved the other copy to my desktop at work and one of the guys thought it was cool.

He said it would be even better if it had "Anderson & Empey F.D." on the door.

So, here it is! I used the clone tool first to wash out the name that was on the door before.

Then I chose the font, size, added the arc and changed the VA to 50.

Before using the clone tool there were telephone poles and wires in the photo.

After using the clone tool and replacing a couple of trees, much better.

Probably shouldn't have added the text to this one ...

Cheers!

This was a warm summer afternoon and my daughters and I had taken the girls and a friend for ice cream.

Okay, this is fun, but I definitely still need to do some work with the paintbrush!

Filters and Dodge & Burn

Below are three different pictures that I modified using Photoshop.
Rte 142 Trucks - Before

Rte 142 Trucks - After the "burn" tool was used. I also reduced the brightness and increased the contrast.

Before- Kali & Reis at the beach

After - Cropped their bucket and added the "glowing edges" filter

Before - Campfire at Kenolie

After - Using the same Glowing Edges and modifying the color and tones

Color Adjusted Images

I'm still "gimping" along...
Below are photos that I have adjusted for this assignment.

Heart Stone

One of my granddaughters found this stone on a recent hike. I was trying to reduce the sun glare from the leaves by adjusting the hue, saturation, contrast and brightness.

Neon Rose

I added a blue highlight to the pink rose to give it a different texture.

Corona Light

This is a light I have in my garage. I reduced the tint, shadows and exposure and increased the temperature to eliminate the background.

Image Manipulation

I cut the spider from one photo and pasted it to the maple leaf, then desaturated the color to make it blend a little more naturally. Then when I saved the photo to Picasa I softened the focus and added the vignette.
