  1. Karen, I really like the different angles/ perspectives of hiking you have captured here. You did a great job bringing out the beauty of the outdoors. I especially like the texture in the tree photo and the overlook photo with the water. This is a great idea for a photo story! Can't wait to see the finished product!

  2. I love the one of your girls and how natural it all is. It really feels like I could walk into the scene! Can't wait to see the finial!

  3. The one of a waterfall? Or pool of water it seems to be? Is a bit plain and not of the highest quality, I think putting something with more character and something that draws more thoughts to mind would be beneficial!

  4. Think about the shot you want to use as your opening image. It should be what is referred to as an "establishing shot." This helps to introduce the viewer to the story. Then intersperse the focused shots among the wide shots.

I would suggest using the image of the two people walking down the path...this will help the viewer be drawn into the image and, in turn, the story....

    1. Thank you, that gives me a good starting point. I was thinking along the lines of a beautiful summer day. But the establishing shot makes much better sense.

  5. You have some awesome pictures here that do in fact tell a story. Are the photos in order now? How did the hike end? I am very interested to see how you alter your photos!

  6. The hike ended with Amanda giving Reis (my youngest granddaughter) a piggy back and me carrying the dog. Everyone was exhausted! It was a fun day and we celebrated our adventure with an ice cream treat! Unfortunately I was too tired to even think about taking pictures of us :)
