Framing

Grist Mill

This project was a fun! I took a ride after work on Friday. "Grist mill" was taken at the Vernon, Vermont post office, which sits on the site of an old grist mill. There are two large granite memorials that are situated on either side of the driveway. The "clouds" and blue sky was taken in my back yard on Saturday. The "church steeple" was a little challenging, as far as focus. I was looking through the church sign. I was trying to focus the leaves that surrounded the "sun chime" to give it more of a frame. "Moo" was fun, she just walked right up to the fence. I got a couple of great shots of her. "Hello there" were taken a couple of weeks ago when a mare from local farm foaled. I had the
opportunity and stopped on my way to work.

  1. I like how the Grist Mill photo really focuses on the framing. It really targets in on the subject. I think my favorite though is Moo. There is just something about it that I really like. I think the only thing that could make it better was if the top wire wasn't running through its forehead. It is a little distracting but I still love that photo.

  2. Great photos. My favorite is the Grist Mill and the Moo. The Grist Mill draws you right into the photo. The Moo is stunning. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Awesome job! I love the Grist Mill photo (as it completely captures the framing senses & mirrored image as well & then Moo just seem like he wants to chat!! :)
